Be an ambassador of happiness

Happiness is a right. Ambassadors carry that message to their campus or their city — and bring others with them, to give, to volunteer and to look after one another.

We are forming the founding circle of ambassadors ahead of our launch on 20 March 2027, the UN International Day of Happiness.

Not a title. A way of living the Charter.

An ambassador is not a promoter or a celebrity. An ambassador is someone people trust — who speaks for the Five Rights of Happiness where they live, study or work, and lives by them.

Ambassadors never collect money. Every gift goes through HeartsWill, where it is recorded on the public ledger.

Two ways to serve

  • Campus ambassador

For college and university students aged 18 or older

Bring the Charter to your campus. Hold conversations, run giving drives through HeartsWill and gather student volunteers for distributions nearby.

  • City ambassador

For working professionals and retired people

Connect your workplace, housing society or association with our causes, and help organise volunteers for distributions in your city.

As the work grows, we will invite experienced ambassadors to coordinate across a state.

What ambassadors do

Three things, done with care.

  1. Share the message

    On campus
Talks and conversations in classes, clubs and festivals.
    In your city
Workplaces, housing societies, clubs and associations.
  2. Bring people to a cause

    On campus
A giving drive through HeartsWill for the cause of the season.
    In your city
A drive with a local business, school or association, through HeartsWill.
  3. Gather volunteers

    On campus
Students who help at distributions near the campus.
    In your city
People who help at distributions and keep company with the lonely.

How it works

  1. Apply

Tell us who you are and where you would like to serve. It takes two minutes.

  2. A conversation

Someone from the Foundation will call you to get to know you and answer your questions.

  3. Orientation

Learn the Charter, the dignity pledge and safeguarding, and how HeartsWill and its ledger work.

  4. Your first season

Begin with the cause on the HeartsWill calendar, alongside the other ambassadors near you.

What you receive

  • An orientation in the Charter, the dignity pledge and safeguarding.
  • A named contact at the Foundation for your campus or city.
  • A letter recording your service, signed by the founder, after your first season.
  • The chance to join the Happiness Council, which will advise our board twice a year.
  • A circle of people who care about the same things you do.

The ambassador’s promise

Every ambassador makes the same five promises.

  1. I speak for the Charter — never for a religion, a caste or a political party.
  2. I never collect money. Every gift goes through HeartsWill.
  3. I never photograph a person we serve without their consent, and never a child’s face.
  4. I am never alone with a child at a distribution.
  5. I make no claim the Foundation has not made: no tax benefit, no numbers, no promises.
