Volunteer
Happiness travels best by hand. Volunteers carry it — to labour camps and street corners, to the lonely and the elderly, to children starting school.

Who can join
Students, working professionals and retired people: anyone 18 or older who can give a few hours with care.
What volunteers do
- Hand over essentials at distributions, as one of the two witnesses.
- Pack and sort items before a distribution.
- Keep company with the elderly and the lonely.
- Teach and mentor as our learning work begins.
- Bring a professional skill — medicine, counselling, yoga, law, accounts — where you are qualified.
Safeguarding
Every handover has two witnesses, so no volunteer is ever alone with a child. Without consent you do not photograph a recipient, and you never photograph a child’s face. Volunteers who work near children follow a safeguarding code.
